Brians Winter 161-172

In chapter 14 Brian notices that spring is right around the corner and decides that he can spend a night out away from camp. While hunting he hears another gun shot just like the one he heard a couple of days ago. Brian leaves all he has and wants to fid the person shooting so he can finally get to civilization. I think the author did a good job with building up the suspense and i finally think the next time i read Brian will finally find his way home. My reading went well today and i am excited to finish the book.

Brians Winter 150-161

In chapter 13, Brian is starting to run out of moose meat and is afraid he will starve. In the freezing winter cold Brian goes out in search for food. After a couple of hours Brian finds a buck and kills it. He feels bad because it slowly died. I am happy that Brian still has his sanity even though he has been separated from civilization for so long. Anyone should feel sorry for an animal that has to suffer. I hope that Brian will find his way home soon and can finally rest after all the handwork he has put into surviving. My reading went well and i am looking forward to the conclusion of the book.

Brian's Winter 137-150

In chapter 12 while Brian is hunting he hears gun shots. This means that someone else is near and can help him to get him off this deserted wilderness. What i like that the author did is that he left a hook so i cant wait to read the book again. I think Brian will need to use all the things he has learned in this wilderness to even get a chance to find his way home. The author finally gives hope in the story and i think it will rap up quite nicely. My reading went well today and i cant wait to pick the book up again to see how it finishes.

Brian's Winter 126-137

In chapter 11 Brian realizes that he has been stranded for so long that it crosses his mind that its finally thanksgiving day. Brian remembers how he had thanksgiving dinner with his once together family (his parents are broken up). I find it interesting how Brian realizes it is finally thanksgiving and how the author writes as if he has accepted the fact that he will never be found and he will have to survive in this deserted place for the rest of his days. I hope that Brian finds a way home so he can live like any teenager should... without a care in the world.
