Brian's Winter 111-126

In chapter 10 Brian makes a coat out of moose skin because he can not bear the winter cold. He is thankful for his shelter that he has made and how comfortable it is. the author has made it known how cold it really is and paints a picture in your head so you really feel like your trying to survive out in the wilderness with Brian. I find that it is a little repetitive and i would like maybe something exciting to happen soon. My reading went well today and i hope that the books ends well for Brian and he finally finds his way home somehow.

Brian's Winter 99-111

In chapter 9 Brian goes on his usual routine and goes hunting for food. He is expecting the usual animals like rabbits but this time he finds a moose which is perfect for him to eat. The author shows how Brian has developed over time a hunters instinct and how good he has gotten at hunting for animals which he did not know how to do before.  He is becoming more dependant on himself and braking all the bad habits he used to have. All people should strive to do this but not to do it in these harsh circumstances. My reading went well today and i am almost done the book.

Brian's Winter 88-99

In chapter 7 Brian makes clothes for himself after he realizes what he has on is not suitable for the conditions. He uses skins from animals he has hunted. In this chapter I really like how the author connected how Brian use to be before he got stranded to how he is now. In the past he wasn't as responsible and was dependant on everyone else just as any other teenager was. My reading went alright today i had many distractions but i still got some progress done.

Brians Winter 75-88

In chapter 6 Brian's new friend Betty the skunk saves him from a bear by spraying him. By doing this the skunk just like a human earns the trust of Brian. i like how the author makes the skunk loyal to Brian, he has gone through so much and it is good that he has at least something he can trust and rely upon at times. When being stranded for a long time it is good not to loose track of reality and how it is good to believe in something other than yourself. My reading went well and i am makinggood progress with this novel.

Brian's winter 62-75

In chapter 5 after being alone for several months Brian discovers he has met an animal that could be his friend from all animals it is a skunk. He feeds it food every night and surprisingly it does not spray him. I find it funny how the author chooses a skunk for Brian to befriend. A skunk does not seem like the most loyal animal. This chapter made me laugh quite a bit because of all the things the skunk does for Brian. I really enjoyed this chapter.

Brian's Winter 50-62

Chapter 4 was fairly dull. As winter rolls around it starts to rain heavy and Brian's shelter needs to be more stable to survive these conditions. I personally like how the author is showing us how even a teenager can survive by himself. When you are up against all odds you have to believe in yourself and never give up always continue to fight. My reading went well today and i'm starting to understand the book much better and even starting to relate to the struggles he is facing.

Brians winter 36-50

The action died down i theses pages that i read. In this chapter Brian realizes that winter is near and he needs to make things better for himself if he wants to survive. So he goes out and hunts more animals in the process he realizes how beautiful life around him is and how it takes for him to be stranded in a deserted place for him to realize this. The author did a good job in teaching us that no matter how busy things are we have to sometimes stop and smell the roses. My reading went well today really starting tog the book.

Brians Winter 16-34

In chapter 2 things really started to heat up. It really starts to escalate when Brian finds a bear right in front of his face when he wakes up. The bear is looking for food, but Brian needs it to survive. The author shows how even a human can have animal like instincts in life or death situations. In this case Brian needed to protect his food to survive at all costs. I felt that the author did a fantastic job in describing the action. My reading went well today.

Brian's Winter 1-16

In the first chapter there was much optimism because i had already read the first book Hatchet, which was quite good. In ht first chapter the author introduces the main character Brian and his struggle to stay alive in this abandoned place he is in. The author is quite descriptive in the events taking place and develops the story quite nicely. My reading was good today enjoyed the start of the book so far.

My History as a Reader

Personally i do not consider myself a reader. I would much rather sit on the couch with a snack and watch a movie. If i am to read  I enjoy reading with a lot of action and i occasionally like the odd thriller. For me War books are the best. Thbut need to e best aspect of reading for me has to be getting into the novel where you cant even put the book down. I have not done good progress with AR i have finished a book refresh so i can remember all the key points in the story. To read well i need to have a silent environment i cant read when there is a lot of noise around me. I am not a fan of reading because i do not find a lot of books interesting, It takes a lot time for me to get really into a book so i guess i don't really have a lot of good experiences with reading.
